Get to know me a bit more
You guessed it. I'm a mom.
But I'm also so much more.
Just like you!

Please read more about my qualifications:
Digital marketing, project leadership and communication strategies are my specialties. I have a history of using my communication skills in a variety of high-activity and high-stakes situations. With my recent completed project for CSC I worked with the Indigenous Relations, HR & neighbourhoods teams to create an online portal for The City to learn more about Indigenous Awareness. This project was one of my first at The City and required attention to detail, advanced interpersonal skills and adaptability. The project was a success and was even nominated for a One City Award.
Prior to being with The City: I was brought into SAIT to aid in the launch and upgrade to their CMS and be a senior on the Digital Experience and Development team. I was tasked with revitalizing the content contributor manual, setting up the new system, working with external teams and upgrading all internal workflows. During my time at SAIT I also conducted a full-site audit and worked with all internal stakeholders on their SAIT.ca pages — reviewing content, SEO and Analytics. I was part of a team that re-designed an entire section on SAIT.ca for a 2020 launch and was named lead on the IA development. This project required a deep-dive into analytics, customer journey, user-experience and working with external teams to receive focus-group based research.
Campaign creation, management and team-coordination was the key to effective marketing for my previous role as Director of Marketing for 11 retail-locations and 2 restaurants. I was part of a team that relaunched a brand after economic crisis and raised our customer base. In 2016 and 2017 I brought my team back to community-based marketing with a keen focus on events, seminars and engagement. We redesigned our website and loyalty programs and opened three new markets in the last 12 months of my employment. I created and coordinated the interior design of the space — taking influence from where we started to where we wanted to be. I revitalized our strategy once we grew our customer base back with a more robust digital marketing campaign, and this also garnered success.
Before that I was on the Digital Strategy Team for Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC). Majority of my work was researching and creating social media reports and content for INAC, which requires an ability to assess the political and social environments.

My non-profit work is also keenly transitional to working in communications; as a team leader in a non-profit organization you have to be ready to do the job of ten people. In a single week I would coordinate events, fundraise, and create activities for the children, then write articles for the newspaper, and make sandwiches for field trip days. It was a fast-paced, warm, fun environment that changed my life forever.
